Wake was an unreleased 2016 action thriller film directed by John Pogue and starring Bruce Willis.

It focused on Red Forrester (played by Bruce Willis) returns to his childhood home on a remote island to his very family after years of being banished by his family. It was going to have a 2016 release. However, the film was cancelled in April 2, 2015 after actor Bruce Willis and director John Pogue left the film due to financing and scheduling issues.

Why It Was Cancelled[]

  1. One of its production companies Exclusive Media went out of business in 2014 following the box office failure of the Ron Howard film Rush with Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Brühl, Olivia Wilde, Alexandra Maria Lara, Pierfrancesco Favino, David Calder, Natalie Dormer, Stephen Mangan, Christian McKay, Alistair Petrie and Julian Rhind-Tutt with four of their last films The Woman in Black: Angel of Death, Jane Got a Gun, A Walk Among the Tombstones and the previously mention John Pogue's horror film The Quiet Ones being box office failures after their shut down in 2014.
  2. Bruce Willis and director John Pogue left the film due to financing and scheduling issues.
