The series.
In 2017 (re-announced, somewhat, in 2018), an animated film based on the YouTube animated series Hanazuki: Full of Treasures was said to be in development at Paramount Pictures.[1]
Plot[]
The plot is partially unknown, but it would have likely focused on Hanazuki and the Hemkas going on an adventure in a whole new dimension in the real world on an unforgettable journey to find themselves in Boston.
Development[]
The film was first announced in 2017 by Paramount, and it was to be side-developed by AllSpark Animation and Titmouse, Inc. Other than this, details regarding the directors and much more are very scarce at the moment.
Why It Was Cancelled[]
- Hasbro ended up laying off 10% of its employees following the Toys R Us Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Results[]
- The Hanazuki film was permanently cancelled.
- Hanazuki: Full of Treasures remains just as an Hasbro web series, with no animation movie counterparts at all. Because of this, the series was causing Toys R Us to go out of business and close down permanently after the season 1 finale "Big Bad Sickness".
- They later ended up cutting down Hanazuki's second season with only eight episodes.
- The Hanazuki Movie will be released in theaters on March 5, 2027 by Screen Gems and Stage 6 Films.
