Cancelled Movies. Wiki

A film centering around a blue-footed booby's journey were to be made by DreamWorks in 2013. The project was in development since a long time and since then, no news have since been emerged in the past few years. It would have been directed by Karey Kirkpatrick, and Chris Poche would of co-writed the script.

The basic plot would have been about a dim witted blue footed booby who learns that it isn't the size of your brain, but the size of your heart that counts.

Why It Was Cancelled[]

  1. They passed on the project due to "creative differences".
  2. DreamWorks had some trouble producing some of the Blue Footed Boobies' quacking sounds.
  3. The word "booby" would be offensive for a children's film.

  • The film was permanently cancelled.
  • The project has been likely forgotten and was never picked up/never released.
  • The characters of the film may have been redesigned as penguins for the 2014 movie Penguins of Madagascar.
  • Karey Kirkpatrick and Chris Poche left the project and went to work on The Smurfs 2 for Sony.
