On March 19, 2015, it was announced that a Disney Channel Original Movie, Throw Like Mo was in development. it was going to be a biographical movie on a 13-year old girl named M'one Davis, the first female to pitch a shutout in the Little League World Series in August of 2014. Debra Martin Chase would have served as the executive producer and Sheldon Candis and Justin Wilson were going to serve as the writers for the film. The film was set to premiere in 2016, but it never premiered.


Why It Was Cancelled[]

  1. On November 14, 2020, a follower of the executive producer, Debra Martin Chase commented on her Instagram post, asking what happened to Throw Like Mo and she said "Unfortunately, at this time, it's not going forward. I love Mo'ne's story and she's truly special. Maybe we can get it done in the future . I never give up on great stories!"
