Terminator Genisys 2 [1] was a proposed sequel to the 2015 film Terminator Genisys. The film was scheduled for a May 2017 release.
Plot[]
The plot was apparently going to be centered on John Connor becoming half-man and half-machine. It was going to ignore the events of the third film and focus more on what happened after the second film. It also would reveal Skynet origins and Matt Smith's character would be the primary focus.
Why It Was Cancelled[]
- Terminator Genisys received negative reviews from critics and flopped domestically at the U.S. box office.
- Fans of the original films were disappointed with Genisys.
