Sonic The Hedgehog was a film made by Sony Pictures and was scheduled for a 2018 release.
Why It Was Cancelled
- A big fight occurred with Neal H. Moritz and Tom Rothman over Passengers. The latter wanted to slash the budget and telling the former that Big Spaceship movie didn't sell well, the former theatening the latter on selling Passengers to other studio. After Passengers became a box office flop, another big fight between Neal Moritz and Tom Rothman occured, causing the former to quit Sony Pictures, in favor of Paramount, taking the film rights to Sonic with him.
- Paramount Pictures remade the film and it was originally scheduled to be released on November 10, 2019, but was delayed by February 14, 2020 due to the backlash of Sonic's original design, and the film received better reception thanks to the redesign of Sonic.
