In early 2014, Ubisoft teamed up with Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation to potentially make a live-action/animated hybrid film based on Rabbids. However, it never got far into development. The project was eventually moved to Lionsgate in late 2019, complete with Todd Strauss-Schulson as the director. At the same time, other companies including Ubisoft Film & Television, Mandeville Films, and Stoopid Buddy Stoodios are involved in the project.
