Philadelphia Experiment III was a proposed sequel in Wallace C. Bennett's Philadelphia Experiment franchise. It would've been released by DreamWorks Pictures and Hyde Park Entertainment in 2010 with Lionsgate owning the rights internationally.

Plot[]

The plot is unknown, although it was supposed to take place after the events of Philadelphia Experiment II. Production started around early 2006. Filming took place around 2009. It was still set in the year 2043. It uses animation from Industrial Light and Magic.

Why It Was Cancelled[]

  • It was cancelled due to poor ratings.

Results[]

  1. Lionsgate and DreamWorks SKG both currently owned the franchise as of June 18, 2022.
  2. On December 23, 2019, Lionsgate announced it would license library content for Peacock, as part of a larger agreement by Comcast to renew its carriage of Starz. In turn, NBCUniversal will license content for StarzPlay in the U.S. and internationally.
  3. The remake of Philadelphia Experiment II will be in development for Peacock and Syfy. Again, It was still set in the year 2043.
  4. Philadelphia Experiment III will be in development for Peacock and Syfy. It will be set in the year 2074.
