Sometime in late 2020, the idea was created in a twelve-week span by Arielle Rosenstein (with the help of four story artists, one trainee, and one production figure) as part of a small pitch program given to four story artists at DreamWorks Animation. The program was meant to source original ideas from within the story department.[1]

Development simply didn’t pick up the idea.
