Between the mid 2000s and early 2010s, a CGI movie based on the CBS franchise Mighty Mouse was in production by Nickelodeon Movies, Omation Animation Studios, and Paramount Pictures. It was announced as early as 2004 and was tentatively scheduled to be released some time in 2013.

The plot is currently unknown.

Why It Was Cancelled[]

  1. Steve Oedekerk and his company O Entertainment/Omation left Nickelodeon for good in 2013 after the failure of Planet Sheen, and the studio itself had become dormant since then.

  • The film was later moved to Paramount Animation in 2019 and will now become a CGI/live-action hybrid film, with Jon and Erich Hoeber signed on to be the writers for the film and Karen Rosenfelt and Robert Cort producing it. So far, it is currently unknown when the film will be released and who will be starring in it.
  • As of 2021, there have not been any updates.
