Jimmy Neutron 2: The Search for Carl was a planned sequel to the 2001 film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, the plot was written by writer Kate Boutilier.

Plot[]

Unknown, but it was described that the sequel would be made on the same budget as the first, but with a new batch of inventions and adventures in Jimmy's town of Retroville.

Why It Was Cancelled[]

  1. The rights of Jimmy Neutron remained at Nickelodeon.
  2. The film was cancelled due to the failure of Rugrats Go Wild.
  3. The film was cancelled because the writers could not agree on a story and Alcorn later stated in an interview that "once the TV series came out, there wasn't a lot of incentive to make a movie when fans could simply watch Jimmy Neutron for free at home".
  4. DNA productions went out of business after mixed-to-negative reception and the box office failure of The Ant Bully.
