How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World was originally supposed to have T.J. Miller reprise his role as Tuffnut Thorston. However, Miller was removed from the cast during production.

Plot[]

The plot would be the same as the 2019 film that was released.

Why This Version Was Cancelled[]

  1. T.J. Miller was kicked out of the cast after sexual assault allegations were made against him in late 2017 during the MeToo and Time's Up movements and following the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault scandal, along with his 2018 arrest for calling in a fake bomb threat while aboard an Amtrak train.

Results[]

  • T.J. Miller was later replaced with Justin Rupple as the voice of Tuffnut in the film. Rupple would later reprise the role in the holiday special How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming that aired on NBC in December 2019, 10 months after the film's release.
  • How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World was released without T.J. Miller starring.
  • The T.J. Miller version of How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World was permanently cancelled.
