Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment announced plans for a live-action/computer-animated film based on the famous character Hong Kong Phooey. Alex Zamm, who was also working on a live-action/computer-animated Marvin the Martian movie, was attached to direct the film with Broderick Johnson, Andrew Kosove, Brett Ratner, and Jay Stern serving as producers, while David A. Goodman writes the screenplay. Eddie Murphy was set to voice the titular character.
