In February 2013, it was reported that Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment were developing a CGI-animated film adaptation of Green Eggs and Ham. It would have been produced by Chris Melendandri, and written by Michael Green. In December 2019, it had been reported that the film would also be written by Sam Bernstein. The film would still be produced by Universal Pictures and distributed by Illumination Studios.
