Ghost Rider 3

After the release of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, there were plans for a third film.

Why It Was Cancelled

1. The first film and second film both received negative reviews, despite being box office successes.
2. Nicolas Cage stated that he was done with the Ghost Rider films.
3. The rights reverted to Marvel Studios in 2013.
4. In 2024, Nicholas Cage nearly reprised the role of Ghost Rider in Deadpool & Wolverine, but he sadly didn’t.

Results

1. The sequel was permanently cancelled.
2. The Ghost Rider films are now a duology.
3. Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
