Foster title

Foster is a cancelled animated fantasy musical film from Blue Sky Studios that was announced in 2018, with Tim Federle to pen the script, Marc Platt (La La Land) to produce, Karen Disher and Steve Martino to direct and Pasek and Paul (La La Land, and The Greatest Showman) to write the songs for the film.

Plot

The plot was about a teenager who, after being disappointed with the end of his favorite book saga, tries to talk to the author, but gets involved in an adventure in the world of one of his books.

Why It Was Cancelled

1. Blue Sky Studios shut down in April 2021.
2. Following Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox in May 2019, it was removed from the release schedule.

Result

• The film was permanently cancelled after Blue Sky Studios shut down.
• Until now, we only have conceptual arts and some animation tests.
