The film would have been a heist film with a love subplot with Pepe and Penelope.

- Most of the cancellation reasons are unknown but it is possible that one of them was because of Warner Bros. gave priority to the production of Space Jam: A New Legacy

- A Space Jam sequel titled Space Jam: A New Legacy was released in theaters and on HBO Max on July 16, 2021. However, Pepé Le Pew was removed from the cast on July 2019, when Malcolm D. Lee took over as the director.
