Ferris Bueller 2: Another Day Off is a sequel to the 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It was going to be directed by the late-John Hughes, with the original cast reprising their roles, but as much older people. [1]
Plot[]
Ferris, now around 40 years old, is suffering a mid-life crisis. To try to relive his youth, he gets help from Cameron, now his manager, and they take a day off from work.
Why It Was Cancelled[]
- Late-director John Hughes said that the first movie was "about a singular time in your life" and that this movie would be a lame rehash of events.
- John Hughes wasn't a big fan of sequels (despite writing the scripts for both Home Alone 2 and Home Alone 3).
- Matthew Broderick, who played the main character wasn't interested in returning for a sequel.
- John Hughes died in 2009.
Results[]
- It is highly unlikely that there will ever be a sequel now, especially since Matthew Broderick is now too old to play the title character again and John Hughes is now dead.
- Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a standalone film.

Trivia[]
