This audiovisual work at the level of Hollywood has provoked an acid controversy at the Latin American level, especially in Mexico, where "Chavo" and the other characters of the Chespirito factory are considered national heritage. However, the hit trailer (over 8 million views at the time of writing) was picked up hours later. Gómez Fernández explained the reason for this change of opinion through his Twitter account: “Considerations about the El Chavo video: the production is great and the handling of black humor is extraordinary. The atmosphere and violent tone are certainly unsettling, but in no way do they seem to mock the characters or the play. The guys at Plug TV are talented, they know what they're doing. I don't think there should be legal action."
