In April 2014, Ray Fisher was cast as Victor Stone/Cyborg in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. That October, Warner Bros. announced his own solo film was in development, and was scheduled to be released on April 3, 2020. The film would have served as a follow-up to Justice League.

Why It Was Cancelled[]

  1. Justice League flopped at box office and were panned by critics and audiences.
  2. Ray Fisher expressed no interest in regarding the reshoots of Justice League with director Joss Whedon.

Results[]

  • Cyborg is taken off the DCEU slate.
  • Due to his clash with DC Films president Walter Hamada, Ray Fisher is no longer reprising his role for The Flash, in which he was originally a part of.
  • Ray Fisher stated he will no longer be a part of DC Films with Walter Hamada still in charge. With that he also says that he would return if Warner Bros. states a formal apology to him.
  • Fisher also stated that he would star in the film only if Zack Snyder or Rick Famuyiwa directs it.
