Cancelled Movies. Wiki

The film rights to Death Shall Be Your Eyes were considered for purchase by Universal Studios in 2013, prior to the book's release. Scott Stuber and Chris Morgan were initially supposed to produce the film, with Andy Muschietti (It, The Mother) as director and Eric Heisserer in negotiations to write the screenplay.

The plot would have been the same as the book or the final Netflix version.
