Betty of the Jungle is a cancelled animated film made by Fox Animation Studios. The concept came in 1995, a year after the studio first opened in 1994 and was scheduled to be released in 1995. The film was pitched by Bill Koop, the creator of Eek! the Cat.
The plot would follow an ape girl named Betty (voiced by Loni Anderson), who is sort of like George of the Jungle.
Why It Was Cancelled
- Fox spent all their money on Anastasia and Bill had to work on The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show for Disney.
- Fox didn't approve of the animation tests and concept art.
- Betty of the Jungle was permanently cancelled.
