In 1995, animator Bill Kopp (creator of Fox Kids' Eek! the Cat) pitched an idea for an original adult animated film called Betty of the Jungle, in which he describes it as a "sexy George of the Jungle".
Plot[]
It would have been about jungle warrior woman Betty (set to be voiced by Loni Anderson) and her gun-caring poodle (set to be voiced by Bruce Willis) who battle evil to protect their jungle village.
Why It Was Cancelled[]
- 20th Century Fox spent all their money on Anastasia and Bill had to work on The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show for Disney.
- They didn't approve of the animation tests and concept art.
Result[]
- Betty of the Jungle was permanently cancelled.
