- The film was re-written and became Batman Begins in 2003 and was released in 2005.
- Darren Aronofsky would later go on and direct the 2006 film The Fountain with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz which was also made by Warner Bros. after leaving Batman: Year One.
